Veterans Crisis Line - 1-800-273-8255 - Press "1"
VA is excited to announce that service members and Veterans can connect to the Veterans Crisis Line using these simple words. The Siri function on Apple’s iPhone and the Google Assistant function on Android phones now automatically dial the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline which also serves the Veterans Crisis Line, even if the number (1-800-273-8255) is not saved in the phone’s contact list. Callers will need to Press 1 in order to reach the Veterans Crisis Line.
MESSAGE FROM OUR COMMANDER
Here are my new orders as commander afforded me by Sections 218 (a)(c) and 418 (a)(d) of the National By-Laws:
1. Absolutely 0 alcohol will be consumed on post property.
2. Anyone that steps onto the VFW property will wear a mask for the entirety of their stay.
3. No more than 6 people on the grounds for any reason.
There will be no exceptions made to the above orders going forward (for any reason) anyone who violates these orders will be immediately banned from the establishment, until such time as a meeting can be physically held to lift this.
Anyone who violates these orders is subject to disciplinary actions laid out by VFW by-laws/Auxiliary By-laws. This applies to officers of either organization and all members.
If you have a veteran in need/you just need a place to drink, let me know, you can use my house, or I can even get you lake access. DO NOT let me catch ANYONE violating these orders moving forward.
John J and I will be meeting in the next day or so to enable remote viewing of the camera system to us.
All, Please acknowledge receipt of this email.
